Indian startup Scimplify has raised $25 million in an all-equity strategic round led by Hitachi Ventures to expand its AI-powered production of specialty chemicals and critical materials. The investment values the Bengaluru-based company at $250 million, bringing its total equity funding to $80 million. The funding round also included participation from new investors Henkel and Teknor Apex, alongside existing backers Accel India, Bertelsmann India Investments, Omnivore, and 3one4 Capital.

Founded in 2023, Scimplify uses its proprietary AI platform, Scinode, to coordinate chemical manufacturing processes and shorten the timeline from customer requirement to finished product delivery to as little as two months. The platform employs specialized AI agents for research, manufacturing, and quality control to handle complex supply chain challenges. The startup oversees production across more than 500 manufacturing facilities, with about 90 percent of its current production taking place in India, though it plans to expand its network to the U.S. and Japan.

Driven by demand in semiconductors, defense, and energy, Scimplify has tripled its annualized revenue run rate to about $200 million over the past year. The company aims to reach a $400 million annualized revenue run rate within the next year while turning profitable after tax. This growth highlights the expanding role of advanced computational tools in diversifying supply chains away from China and meeting global industrial demands.
