Google has released Gemini 4 Argon worldwide, making its new flagship AI model available globally for developers, businesses, and consumers. The frontier model is accessible through the API in AI Studio and the Gemini platform, while Google AI Ultra subscribers can use it in Google Antigravity. Additionally, AI Ultra and Pro subscribers can access Argon through the Gemini app and Google Search's AI mode, replacing the previous Gemini Pro class as Google's new frontier series.
Priced at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens at an introductory rate with a 95 percent discount on cached inputs, Argon holds the top spot on the Vals Index. Google reported that internal software engineers using Argon increased agent-driven code submissions by over 35 percent and reduced code rollbacks by nearly a third. The model also helped the Chrome team complete a major architectural refactor across the 40-million-line Chromium codebase in weeks instead of months. Furthermore, Google is offering 10,000 researchers free access to Google Antigravity for six months.
This global rollout matters because Gemini 4 Argon establishes a new performance and pricing standard for Google's frontier AI ecosystem while expanding autonomous coding and 3D generation capabilities for developers and researchers.
