Pluto Security has emerged from stealth with $42 million in funding to help enterprises address new security risks created by the rapid adoption of internal artificial intelligence tools. Led by CEO and co-founder Shahar Bahat, the startup offers software that monitors employee-built AI tools, extensions, and agents in real time, helping companies gain visibility and risk analysis without halting innovation.

The company's funding includes an $8.5 million seed round led by TLV Partners and a subsequent $34 million Series A led by Jump Capital, with participation from other prominent investors. Since beginning sales in April, Pluto has already surpassed $2 million in annual recurring revenue and secured over 30 enterprise customers, including Oscar Health, Workato, Sixt, and AlphaSense. Bahat noted that finance departments are the largest source of security risks from non-developer-built applications, followed by marketing and legal teams, while developers rank fourth.

Pluto Security matters because it shifts enterprise defense strategies from monitoring traditional user behavior to tracking autonomous agent behavior as organizations increasingly integrate AI into daily operations.
