YouTube has announced new artificial intelligence features for YouTube Music at the Made On YouTube event, introducing conversational discovery tools and personalized audio guides for listeners. The updates are designed to help users find music, explore artists, and discover podcasts more easily across the platform's extensive catalog.
The new conversational tool, called Ask Music, allows users to describe what they want to hear using everyday language rather than traditional searches. Operating across more than 300 million songs, the feature enables users to build custom queues, learn about artist motivations, and uncover creation details by typing requests as if talking to a friend. Additionally, the platform is launching Your Podcast Lineup, an AI-generated audio guide that delivers weekly spoken previews and recommendations to help users navigate podcast discovery.
These additions reflect YouTube's broader push to integrate artificial intelligence across its services following earlier experiments with AI music hosts. Both Ask Music and Your Podcast Lineup will roll out soon to YouTube Music and YouTube Premium subscribers globally.
