Ideogram has launched its new AI image editing model, Ideogram 4.5, designed to modify specific parts of an image without altering the surrounding elements. The model aims to solve a major challenge in AI image editing by ensuring that features like body shape and backgrounds remain intact during changes, avoiding the artifacts common in competing models after multiple edits. Target use cases for the new technology include product photography, interior design, photo restoration, and in-image text editing, with early testers confirming strong consistency across edits.

The model provides native 2K resolution across four quality tiers, with pricing ranging from 0.8 to 22 cents per image. Ideogram 4.5 is available now directly on the Ideogram platform as well as through its API, with industry partners including Picsart, Runway, Pika, and Leonardo AI. Additionally, the company announced that an open-weight release of the model will be coming soon.

This release matters because it addresses persistent consistency and artifact issues in AI image modification, offering creators and enterprises precise control at multiple quality tiers.
