Bluesky has announced an expansion of its experimental Attie platform to let creators build websites, games, quizzes, and polls. Revealed on Thursday at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 by CEO Toni Schneider, the new tool aims to give everyday users the ability to craft interactive experiences that previously required software development skills. These user-created projects operate on the AT Protocol, integrating directly with the decentralized social web known as the Atmosphere.

The expansion positions Attie as a collaborative environment for community-focused creation, which Schneider describes as social vibe coding. Users can build with their own AI models or utilize open-weight options, while the platform suggests projects based on public Bluesky profiles. COO Rose Wang noted that the tool solves distribution challenges by connecting creations directly to Bluesky's network of 47 million registered users.

The update forms part of Bluesky's broader strategy to reinvigorate platform activity by supporting developers and communities. Alongside the Attie expansion, the protocol is alpha testing private data features with a planned rollout by the end of the year. This combination of AI creation tools and decentralized infrastructure aims to foster smaller, community-driven social experiences.

Why it matters: Bluesky is leveraging AI-powered creation tools and its 47 million user network to drive engagement and expand decentralized social applications.
