Amazon’s personal AI wearable maker, Bee, announced the Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse personal AI devices on Thursday. The Bee Frontier is priced at $74.99 and can be worn on the wrist or pinned to clothes, while the credit-card-sized Bee Eclipse costs $99.99 and magnetically attaches to the back of a smartphone. Both products represent the first new hardware releases from Bee since its acquisition by Amazon last year.

The devices are designed to leverage artificial intelligence to capture everyday conversations, generate summaries, and turn discussions into actionable to-dos and insights. Users can connect the hardware to Amazon.com, Alexa+, third-party applications, and productivity software like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook. The company incorporates a private computing security architecture that processes audio in real time without storing raw voice files, relying instead on encrypted transcripts controlled directly by the user.

The Bee Frontier is available now on Amazon, with the Bee Eclipse scheduled to follow soon. All devices feature a companion mobile app and a newly redesigned desktop application, offering free conversation recaps alongside an optional $11.99 per month Bee Pro subscription for advanced features.

Why it matters: The launch expands Amazon's footprint in consumer AI wearables with lower-cost hardware and deeper integration into the Alexa ecosystem.
