Anthropic launched two new beta features for Claude, allowing the AI assistant to generate animated explainer videos and live data dashboards directly from text prompts. The new Dashboards feature connects to external data sources like BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, and Salesforce to create auto-updating live dashboards where every number displays its underlying query. Meanwhile, the Motion feature builds animated explainer videos from text, diagrams, and images, which can be edited as code and exported as MP4 files.

Availability of these capabilities varies by subscription tier, as Dashboards is accessible to paid users while Motion is restricted to Team and Enterprise plans. In addition to these new rollouts, Anthropic confirmed that its existing Docs, Slides, and Design tools are leaving beta status and will now be available across all accounts, including the free tier. The company noted that users have already created more than 45 million documents with these productivity tools.

The expansion of Claude's capabilities comes as the AI assistant gains significant traction in enterprise environments, which may be contributing to reports of shifting corporate adoption patterns among competitors like Microsoft. Furthermore, Anthropic announced that the previously introduced Claude Design will be fully integrated into the main application by December 14, with a migration guide already provided for users.

This update matters because it expands Claude from a text-based chatbot into a versatile productivity suite capable of advanced data visualization and multimedia creation for enterprise workflows.
