Netflix announced on Tuesday that it is rolling out a new AI Discover tab designed to help users find their next watch through personalized mood-based recommendations. The first experimental feature under this tab allows viewers to receive suggestions based on what they are currently in the mood for, their viewing preferences, available time, or trending content, using curated themes with video clips.
The new feature is powered by a newly built intelligence layer that responds to user input in real time and continuously learns from their choices. Users can select themes like something light or scare me, further refine their searches, and use a Tune Your Recommendations button to save or exclude specific titles. Netflix is initially rolling out AI Discover in the U.S. for English-language users on supported TVs, with plans to expand access in the coming weeks.
